Care Guide

This is a guide on  to how to care for mystery snails

• PH Level recommended 7.5-8, the higher the better for snail shells

• Water Temperature between 23-25° 

• Crushed coral substrate and natural cuttle bone in the tank (or filter) will increase calcium levels and water hardness

• Large range of food including home made snello’s, Repashy (Soilant Green), Hikari Crab Cuisine & Shrimp Cuisine, Shrimp King Pellets (most shrimp food is good for snails), Algae wafers, Snail Snow (Soybean hulls), Mulberry leaves, Vegetables - blanched brocolli & sweet potato, de-shelled peas, tinned green beans(NO SALT), zucchini, carrot.

• Water line recommended 10cm below top of tank - Mystery Snails can breathe air, this also provides females a safe space to lay clutches

• A Tank lid  is always recommended as mystery snails like to escape!

• Female to Male ratio kept at 3 females to 1 male
